Title: “Introduction in the Park”
It was a bright and sunny afternoon when I encountered a young man, a stranger to me, sitting on a bench in the park. He had a book in his hand, and I could see the title glinting in the sunlight: “The Great Gatsby”. I was drawn to him, curious about his world, and decided to strike up a conversation.
“Excuse me, are you enjoying that book?” I asked, my voice breaking the silence of the park.
He looked up, a slight smile on his face. “Yes, it’s quite captivating. I’m just getting to know F. Scott Fitzgerald’s world,” he replied.
“That’s great. I’ve always wanted to read this book, but I’ve been too busy with other things. You seem like you’re really getting into it,” I said, taking a seat on the bench next to him.
“Yeah, every page is a new adventure. I’m usually not one for reading, but this book is different. It’s like a dream world I’m getting lost in,” he explained, his eyes fixed on the pages.
“That’s amazing. I’m usually the opposite. I love reading, but I find it hard to get into books sometimes. It’s like I’m in my own world, and I can’t seem to escape it,” I said, laughing.
“Well, it sounds like we’re quite the opposite in that sense. But, in a way, we’re both getting lost in our own worlds, just in different ways,” he observed.
“You’re right. And it’s a beautiful thing, isn’t it? Getting lost in a world that’s not our own,” I agreed.
“Yeah, it is. So, I’m [Your Name], by the way. What’s yours?” he asked, extending his hand.
“Oh, I’m [Your Name] too. Nice to meet you, [Your Name],” I said, shaking his hand.
“So, what brings you to this park? I’m usually here to read or just relax,” he asked.
“I’m here to enjoy the sun and clear my mind. I find the park very calming,” I replied.
“I see. Well, I’m glad I could provide some company for your day. It’s always nice to meet new people and share stories,” he said.
And so, our conversation began. We talked about books, our daily lives, and even our dreams. It was a nice way to spend a sunny afternoon, getting lost in our own worlds, but also finding a new friend in the process.
